Our client was looking to bring their kitchen into the modern era. As a passionate baker, with a love of entertaining, they wanted their new kitchen to be both practical and have a 'wow' factor.
Our designer, Marianne Gailer, created a kitchen design that delivered.
The striking black-and-white colour scheme was created to give the kitchen the desired drama. Flowing the bench into the pantry allowed for appliances to be easily tucked away and brought out for use while subtle details like the tapered profile of the waterfall benchtop gave it the wow factor.
Selecting durable black marble was a practical choice — withstanding heat from hot items and resistant to stains.
"I had a picture in my mind that my new kitchen would be all white. But then we talked about bringing in a bit of black. I knew I didn’t want an all-black kitchen – that would have been too much. That was when Marianne showed me the sample of the kitchen bench, and I thought wow, this is it.”

A nod to the past is given with the vintage glass splashback in the study nook, creating subtle light and reflection in an easily disregarded space.
Perfectly crafted floor to ceiling cupboards hold all the dining requirements for an intimate family meal or entertaining.
Another noticeable feature is the circular Elica extractor fan. Originally hard for the client to envisage, but once they saw it mocked up in our 3D render — it was a must-have element.
